CPA Staff Profile                                   John V. Pezzullo, CPA / OWNER John V. Pezzullo established the Certified Public Accounting and Tax Consulting firm of Jonlyn & Associates in 1991. Prior to starting his firm, John's experience included over 18 years of increasing management, consulting and technical responsibilities with privately held businesses. He has extensive experience in developing creative tax planning strategies for privately held businesses and their owners. Numerous tax compliance and consulting engagements resulted in significant permanent tax savings for clients. John has a strong technical background, excellent analytical capabilities and a proven ability to interface with customers, vendors, attorneys, and bankers on behalf of his clients. While a supervisor at the national certified public accounting firm of Fox & Company, John was responsible for the tax and accounting aspects for numerous medium and small business entities including multi-state commerce. In addition, John was controller and CFO for a regional distributor and was responsible for computer services, cash management, employee benefit plans and the day to day controllership functions. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Accountants and the Illinois C.P.A. Society. John is also a member of the Private Companies Practice Division and the Tax Division of the AICPA. John is part of the Genworth Financial Services group.  He is also a Quickbooks Pro Advisor & Peachtree consultant. Linda G. Pezzullo, CPA / MANAGER Linda G. Pezzullo is the co-founder of the Certified Public Accounting and Tax Consulting firm of Jonlyn & Associates. Linda spent several years in public accounting with the national firm of Fox & Company before joining McDonald's Corporation. While at Fox & Company, Linda was responsible for tax, accounting and audit services for numerous small to medium sized businesses. Over her ten year association with McDonald's Corporation, Linda gained extensive experience in corporate systems, financial reporting, real estate systems, and operational analysis. Her past employment gained her recognition in systems implementation, franchise accounting and SEC reporting. Linda's experience also includes small business accounting, multistate sales tax and corporate income tax returns. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. She is a past treasurer for the Wheaton Junior Women's Club and the Illinois Gymnastics Institute Booster Club. Charles E Menich, CPA Charles E Menich is a Senior Accountant for Jonlyn & Associates. Charles is a 2001 addition to our firm. He was working in his own consulting business just prior to joining us. He was also employed by the Union Pacific Railroad in various departments ranging from internal audit to service contract negotiations and financial analysis. Charles holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Michigan State University and a MBA from the University of Chicago. He holds an Illinois CPA certificate.  Debra L. Mitchell, STAFF ACCOUNTANT Debra L. Mitchell is a Staff Accountant for the Certified Public Accounting and Tax Consulting firm of Jonlyn & Associates. Debra has fifteen years of experience in public accounting. She has been at Jonlyn for six years, formerly working at another Dupage accounting firm. She is both a certified payroll specialist and certified public bookkeeper.  Debra Mitchell is a QuickBooks trainer. In addition, she is proficient in preparing individual income tax returns and also Peachtree, Quickbooks, Intuit, Excel and Word. Joanne M. Curry, TAX ACCOUNTANT Joanne M. Curry is a Tax Accountant for the Certified Public Accounting and Tax Consulting firm of Jonlyn & Associates.  Joanne joined the firm in 2007.  She previously was employed fro nine years as a tax accountant for a local DuPage tax practice. Her career also includes ten years in human resources, specializing in labor relations and benefits administration. She is presently in charge of income tax returns for professional individuals with a concentration in Clergy and Minister income tax returns. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Personnel Management from Michigan State University. Carol C. Pociask, STAFF ACCOUNTANT Carol C. Pociask is a Staff Accountant at Jonlyn & Associates. She joined the firm in early 2004. Her training has allowed her to perform data entry with QuickBooks and she is proficient in Excel and Word.  She is also processing individual tax returns for the tax department. Sarah A. Klein, STAFF ASSISTANT Sarah A. Klein is a Staff Assistant at Jonlyn & Associates. She joined the firm in 2008. She has experience in practical business matters.  Sarah's training has allowed her to perform data entry with QuickBooks and she is proficient in Excel and Word.  Chris J. Liechti, STAFF / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Chris J. Liechti is a Staff Assistant for the Certified Public Accounting and Tax Consulting firm of Jonlyn & Associates. Chris joined the CPA firm in 2007 in our accounting department and has experience in practical business matters and taxes. Previously she worked in her own business.  She is proficient in  Quickbooks,  Excel and Word.  Chris holds an Associate of Arts Degree from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Kelly Kennedy, STAFF ACCOUNTANT Kelly Kennedy is a Staff Accountant at Jonlyn & Associates.  She was previously employed by a CPA firm in Chicago in their accounting department.  Kelly is working in our small business department and prepares corporate, limited liabilty companies LLC's and other business income tax returns.  She is proficient in QuickBooks. Kelly holds a Bachelor in Accounting Degree from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Katie V. Bachi, STAFF ACCOUNTANT Katie V. Bachi is a Staff Accountant at Jonlyn & Associates.  Katie is a recent graduate of North Central College in Naperville, Illimois.  Katie has worked for area businesses for the last three years and is proficient in Individual 1040 taxation and QuickBooks and Peachtree accounting software.  Katie holds a Bachelor in Accounting Degree with a minor in Finance from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
